PEI College of Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam

The PEI College of Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination is an entry-to-practice requirement for registration as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician and is designed to assess an applicant’s knowledge and understanding of the rules that impact pharmacy practice in the province. The jurisprudence exam is a 2-hour written exam. The pass mark is 70%.

Applicants may arrange a sitting with the PEI College of Pharmacy at a date and time that is suitable to the applicant and the College. The fee for the exam is  $220.00. The application for the jurisprudence exam can be found in the member area of the website.

The exam is based on provincial and federal legislation and regulations, as posted on the PEICP website.

Format

The format of the exam is as follows:

Part A- 25 True or False questions
Part B- 45 Multiple Choice Questions
Part C- 10 Multiple Choice Questions

Results

Individuals will be notified of their exam results by email. Applicants should allow up to one week for processing of the exam results by the PEICP.

Jurisprudence exam results are valid for 2 years from the date of the exam.

Exam Dates

The PEI college of Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam is held at the College office: Unit 1, 45 Paramount Drive. Applicants should be bring photo ID with them to the exam.
