The PEI College of Pharmacy may conduct consultations to gain important feedback from registrants, the public, and system partners to help inform College work regulatory proposals to government, policies, standards, and guidelines.

Practice Directive –
The PEI College of Pharmacy has drafted the Opioid Agonist Treatment Practice Directive: Practice Standards for Community Pharmacies to replace the current Opioid Agonist Maintenance Treatment Practice Directive for Community Pharmacies. The new directive provides specific direction for pharmacy professionals regarding the provision of opioid agonist treatment. It is condensed and removes clinical direction and guidance. Pharmacy professionals are expected to use the directive in combination with clinical practice guidelines to provide optimal patient care.
The College is seeking feedback from pharmacy professionals at this time. Feedback may be shared by completing the Feedback Form below or by emailing registrar@pepharmacists.ca. Feedback will be received until 4:00 pm on June 5, 2026.
