Criminal record checks

The PEI College of Pharmacy RP03 Criminal Record Check Policy requires that applicants to the general, provisional, student and special classes of the pharmacist and pharmacy technicians registers to submit the results of an Extended Police Information Check (EPIC) that has been completed within 3 months of application.

Applicants who currently reside outside of Canada or have lived or worked outside of Canada for 6 months in a row or longer, within the last three years, must provide a criminal record check(s) for each country where they lived or worked.

Applicants who currently reside in Canada, or have a permanent residency, or Canadian citizenship must provide a Canadian criminal record check

An EPIC is valid for a period of 5 years once on file with the College providing there has not been a break in registration. At the discretion of the College, registrants may be selected to provide an additional EPIC before their expiration date.
